Now Introducing Landscape Bed Weed Control

ExperiGreen

Landscape Bed Weed Control Program

At ExperiGreen, we offer a complete Landscape Bed Weed Control program. It consists of an analysis of the type of weeds present; this is important because you may have annual or perennial weeds, which require different control strategies. We then create a plan to control them through a series of 4 or 5 applications. The applications are scheduled for specific times during the growing season and use both pre-emergent and post emergent weed control products. These programs control certain weeds before they emerge and become problems and also controls weeds already present. It is a superior program guaranteed to control all of the tough weeds in your landscape!

Why do you need a landscape bed weed control program?

Weed control in landscape beds can really be a tough problem. You could be dealing with annual or perennial weeds and if you are not sure which type of weeds you have, you may not control them at all. Perennial weeds grow year after year, tend to have deep, extensive root systems, and are often tougher to control than annual weeds. At ExperiGreen, we offer a complete Landscape Bed Weed Control program. It consists of an analysis of the type of weeds present, then we create a program of 4 to 5 visits to control the type of weed problem in your landscape beds!

Benefits Of Our Landscape Bed Weed Control Services

A weed control product that is designed to kill plant material is applied to unsightly weeds. These are usually rock beds and landscaped ornamental bed areas that are covered with inorganic material (river rock, stones, etc.), or bark mulch, pine straw, or other organic materials.

Bed weed control is important for a number of reasons and offers many benefits to you as the homeowner. Weeds in the landscape bed area look terrible, detracting from the appearance and value of your home.

Weeds compete with your valuable plants, robbing them of needed nutrients and water. They also can block sunlight needed by desirable plants. Some weeds can actually be hazardous to humans, such as poison ivy, poison oak or thistles. With our ExperiGreen Bed Weed Control program we control the weeds in your landscape beds guaranteed.

FREQUENTY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. How to clear weeds out of flower beds?

Controlling or clearing weeds out of flower beds can be a tough problem and you have to be careful if using chemical weeds control products. Most products that control weeds will also damage desirable flowers and other valuable plants. At ExperiGreen, we offer a complete Bed Weed Control program. It consists of an analysis of the type of weeds present, then we create a program of 3 to 4 visits to control the type of weed problem in your landscape beds!

2. Best weed killer for landscape beds.

There are a multitude of do it yourself products on the market for bed weed control. It is difficult to single out one product or one approach as being the best to control weeds in landscape flower beds. Knowing what kind of weeds you are dealing with; are they annuals or perennials will make a big difference on if you can control them or not. Why not let the experts perform your bed weed control? At ExperiGreen, we offer a complete Bed Weed Control program. It consists of an analysis of the type of weeds present, then we create a program of 3 to 4 visits to control the type of weed problem in your landscape beds!

3. How to prevent weeds in flower beds?

Preventing weeds in your flower beds or landscape beds is a challenge.   You can use landscape fabric that you put down on the surface of the bed prior to mulching. While this approach can certainly help prevent weeds, it has fallen out of favor over the last several years. Weed seeds can be blown in or be left by birds on top of the fabric and there is growing concern that the fabric can prevent water penetration to the roots of plants over time. Another tactic is to mulch on a regular basis with organic or inorganic (bark, shredded bark and wood, wood chips, pine needles or different kinds of rocks, etc) materials to preven weeds. Another approach is to use a pre-emergent weed control product. You can purchase do-it-yourself products, or you can have the experts at ExperiGreen prevent the weeds for you. We offer a guaranteed bed weed control program!

4. How to get rid of weeds in mulch beds?

Getting rid of weeds in landscape or mulch beds often requires a combination of mechanical control (hand pulling or string trimmer), prevention using pre-emergent weed control products and organic or inorganic mulch products and lastly post emergent weed controls. Why not let the experts perform your bed weed control? At ExperiGreen, we offer a complete Bed Weed Control program. It consists of an analysis of the type of weeds present, then we create a program of 3 to 4 visits to control the type of weed problem in your landscape beds!

5. What kind of weed control can you use in a flower bed?

Controlling or clearing weeds out of flower beds can be a tough problem and you have to be careful if using chemical weeds control products. Most products for flower bed weed control will also damage desirable flowers and other valuable plants. At ExperiGreen, we offer a complete Bed Weed Control program. It consists of an analysis of the type of weeds present, then we create a program of 3 to 4 visits to control the type of weed problem in your landscape beds!

6. What about mulching? Does it help control weeds?

Mulching is an important part of caring for your valuable landscape plant beds.  ExperiGreen highly recommends mulching on an annual basis.  Most common mulch materials include shredded hardwood bark mulches, pine or conifer bark nuggets or shredded bark, shredded cedar bark, and pine straw (needles).  A fresh application of one of the mulch materials to a depth of approximately 2 inches, as described here, in combination with the ExperiGreen Landscape Bed Weed Control program will provide superior weed prevention and control all season long and add to the overall appearance of your valuable landscape beds.

7. Is the landscape bed weed control program safe for my plants?

Yes, applications are performed only by trained and certified ExperiGreen employees.  The pre-emergent weed prevention materials can safely be sprayed over the top and in and around existing ornamental plants. This broadcast application then works where you need it most; preventing more weeds!  If there are existing weeds, ExperiGreen will also use a post-emergent control product (with the added pre-emergent bonus) to eliminate and prevent further weed growth.  We do not use Round-Up (glyphosate) products but use a different, effective material.  This application is directed only at the existing weed(s) and not at your ornamental plants.

How Does The Landscape Bed Weed Control Program Work?

The first application will include a pre-emergent treatment to the entire bed area:

ExperiGreen uses a superior combination of 2 professional pre-emergent products.  The combination of the 2 pre-emergent products acts synergistically together to prevent both grassy and broadleaf weeds. Very few, if any competitors use 2 different products for weed prevention.  This means superior weed prevention and control over the course of a growing season.

Follow On Applications:

ExperiGreen will come out at regular intervals of about 5-7 weeks to inspect the landscape beds and treat for any weed escapes.  Weeds generally germinate from seed, though many regrow from root or other plant parts also, depending on the type of weed.  Weed seeds are blown in on the wind, spread by birds and other animals or even from the lawnmower blowing the seeds into the bed areas.  The main problem is that weeds germinate at different times of the growing season and to deliver the weed free landscape beds that a customer expects from our program, we need to visit and treat for weeds 3 or 4 additional times during the growing season.

When/if weeds are found on these follow-up visits, they will be sprayed and controlled, with the added bonus of additional pre-emergent materials applied again to the same area.
