Chickweed In Home Lawns

Happy Weed Wednesday! Have you started seeing pretty little white flowers in your lawn? If so, you’re in luck because this week we will be discussing Chickweed.

Chickweed is a winter annual weed found in home lawns and other areas in direct sunlight and moist soil. This succulent plant grows in dense patches and reproduces with seeds while growing up to a foot and a half in height. It is extremely noticeable once it’s white flower blooms in late spring.

Chickweed tends to grow along the edges of lawns and even in plant beds and can be quite an aggressive growing weed.
